I look up the top 100-200 baby names in US and in other countries like for example Australia, Ireland, Germany or whatever origin you prefer. I like to see what’s out there.

I don’t go by that at all, I look at country’s that have the most names I like, or I go by things like elements, Greek/roman literature, uncommon names, old English I really like to dive in and see what’s out there!

I make a list of names that I like, and if the name we end up using is super popular, oh well! The name must then be popular for a reason, it must be fabulous, right? LOL.

I usually look in the Greek and Roman section when picking my babies name. I love mythology, and I think a lot of the names are really pretty. My three children are called Adonis, Athena and Calypso, all after greek mythology.

Out of 100 range but I go primarily on how it sounds. Don’t care about spelling or pronunciation variations or meaning.

The exact number doesn’t really matter. I can usually tell how popular a name is just be how frequently I see it mentioned on here. And that’ll generally weed out a lot of names unconsciously, because if a name’s mentioned too often, it loses it’s allure to me.
