Kayleigh Elizabeth vs. Kaileigh Elizabeth vs. Kayleigh Alise
We have decided on the name Kayleigh for a girl. I am still debating on the spelling. (I know it is cutesy, but I figure by the time she makes it to adulthood there will be others with that name as well. And if she chooses, she can go by Kay or Leigh or her middle name) Which spelling looks better? Also, which middle name sounds the best? Elizabeth has a lot of options for NN’s, but I like Alise as well. I need your help! Thanks so much! PS- Suggestions are always welcome!!!

I prefer Kayleigh Elizabeth. As Kayleigh is so trendy I think a classic middle name balances it out. I do like Alise but only spelt Elise or Alice (depending on which pronounciation you are going for). My favorite spelling is the Irish Ceilidh but if you want to make it more American I would spelly it Caley or Cayley which looks far less trendy and lengthy than Kayleigh.

Cayley Mariella

The spelling "Kayleigh" comes from a great song called "Kayleigh" by an 80’s Scottish Band called "Marrillion" - Buy the CD "Misplaced Childhood" by Marillion and listen to this song, I named my daughter "Kayleigh" after this song.

I like the name Kayleigh Elizabeth...which actually happens to be my name. So far it’s been good through my life and not too weird for people to make fun, but not too crazy for people to get really confused. A lot of people pronounce it Kayla though.
