You might as well spell it Kya. Chaya will always be mispronounced as chay-uh.

I like both the spellings, but I’m leaning a little more toward Kya.

thanx but were going with CHAYA my dh likes it better that way. (it’s actually the original spelling) and since i picked the name i’m not gonna fight with him about the spelling. and no i WON"T name her Chaya Lavender!! LOL!!
