I just found out that someone I went to school with named their baby the same name as we have picked for son. We don’t live in the same town, but we have mutual friends. So, should we still use it or find another name?

I would most definitely keep it. You don’t live near each other and your only associated through some mutual friends, I see nothing wrong with using the same name. Keep the name you love, do not find another name.

Thanks, I was just a little concerned that people may think we "stole" the name, since we just found out it’s a boy, and haven’t announced his name, yet. We’ve had his name picked out before we even got pregnant.

Your mutual friends might say oh so and so named their kid that but it shouldn’t go beyond that.
