I love it. I’m actually the opposite to you, I have a sister named Lisa and thought Alyssa was the perfect way to honour her. I loved Alyssa anyway but when trying to find names to honour my sister I realised that Alyssa already does, it was enough to honour her as they have a similar sound but not enough to be the same name (too close). Therefore whenever I hear or see Alyssa I always think of my sister Lisa.
