Henderson vs. Yes vs. No

Hi, I’m hoping you all can give some input on a debate my wife and I are having. She is campaigning to name our son Henderson (our last name is Gray). She says that Henderson Gray sounds like a name that a private detective would have (she likes this fact very much), and she also says she really likes the flow of the name. I agree that it flows nicely, but I don’t want to have a last name as our son’s first name. I’m hoping you can give us some suggestions of first names that would still give my wife the detective vibe she likes about Henderson. Thanks, Tom

I think Henderson Gray would be a fine choice. It’s very similar to Anderson and lends itself to Henry as a nn.
Suggestions:
Elliot Gray
Anderson Gray
Judson Gray
Donovan Gray

Haha, I’m sure that "butler" is not the image my wife is going for. I like Elliot and Nicholas, thanks. I also like the idea of Henry as a nickname if we do end up going with Henderson.

Gregory
Adrian
Marius
Frederick
Friedrich nn Fritz
Cecil

I like Theodore and Sebastian, thanks. I also am considering Cecil. I haven’t met anybody with that name, but it has grown on me a bit during the three minutes I’ve been thinking about it.

I’m not a fan of Henderson, but my first suggestion is another surname: Hamilton. Hamilton Gray sounds great! Some other ideas:
Cameron Gray
Simon Gray
Everett Gray
Forrest Gray
Tomlin Gray
Samson Gray

Henderson is kind of cute and different without being odd. Also, you could get the cute nickname Henry from it.
