Bixby Tate vs. Bixby Reid vs. Bixby Dayne

So, my husband and I are stuck between these three middle names and we just can’t decide! Reid is my husband’s middle name so we would both love that. We also thought about double middle names but where unsure. If anyone has any opinions on double middle names we’d love to hear your view! Thanks S&C

Double middle names aren’t necessary. They just make things more complicated. One MN is enough. Have you considered Reid or Tate as a first name? Your son might get made fun of with a name like Bixby. The meaning of the name and were it came from won’t matter when he’s being teased by classmates.

Every male in my husband’s family has a double middle name, and now so do our 3 sons. They are no more complicated than any other name. They are distinguished. Whenever you have to write a middle initial on a form, just write the first one, or both. How hard is that....

Well poster 1 aren’t you just a little ray of Sunshine!?

If you love Bixby, use it! I’m sure Zaxby Chambliss’ mother had people telling her reasons not to name her son Zaxby but it didn’t stop her, and he is a successful prominent figure.

Also, double barrel names are much more common than you think and are becoming more and more common. It’s nothing new or complicated. If you think a double name will complete your little boy, then double name him :)
