I like it but you could consider giving her a longer name shortened to Mel.

I share your name but I spell it Sunnie. I wish my mom would have simplified it and spelled it with a y.:)

I agree that you should go with a longer name. What about Melaney meh-lane-ee? GL

I know you can’t use Mel as the nn but I don’t find Mel very boho hippie sounding.

Didn’t say it was. Was just referring to myself being a little out that box. I don’t like any of the names that shorten to Mel. If she has another name it would be something totally different then. I also like Josie.
