I would still spell it Oakley. I don’t see that the -leigh spelling makes it any more girly and it just adds extra letters.

I like either one. I disagree with the pp. I love spelling names a little differently than what some people call "the right way" (although I don’t think there is a right or wrong way to spell a name). I like to write the name and look at it and see which one I like visually on a piece of paper or as a signature etc.

I like Oakley, maybe because for some reason when I look at Oakleigh I don’t really see it as the same name. I like unique names, and I like popular names spelled differently, but I think your daughter have an easier time if her rather unique name is spelled how it is pronounced.

Oakley. Oakley is trendy enough on its own without changing the spelling to make it "trynddeeur".

I prefer Oakley. I just think the ley ending goes better with Oak than leigh.
