Hattalynn Rae vs. Hattie Rae
I am in love with both Hattalynn and Hattie as a nickname for it, but some people think I should just name her Hattie. What do you think? Middle name and spellings stay.

While I prefer longer names with nicknames, I am not a fan of Hattalynn at all, so Hattie.

I think Hattalynn will really confuse people as it appears to be made-up (whether it really is or not). I also think it could be confused for Addilyn or even Madelyn if speaking in a noisy environment or on the phone. If you plan to call her Hattie, then I think just using Hattie would be much simpler.

Hattalynn looks made up. Generally Hattie is short for Harriet, so if you want a longer name, go with that. Hattie isn’t really my favorite, but I prefer it to Hattalynn.
