Juliet vs. Susanna vs. Julianne

Girls names please We need better ideas than my mother’s. Which are Riley. Aubrey. Sage. Alexandra. Avery. Carrie. My family has been trying to help us decide om our last little girls name but to my husband and I the names sound too boyish! I want a super girly name that’s definitely no where near unisex. A girl name that doesn’t even pop up in the top 5000 for boys. Lol. Im not sure if the name juliet still puts her up for hearing about the play forever

I prefer Juliet to be spelled "Juliette" but i like it a lot. Susanna and Julianne don’t have the same ring to it as Juliet, so I suggest you use that.

Susanna Claire would be a beautiful girly name or Scarlett Rose.

I like Julianne. When I see Juliet, I still think of the play.

Juliet is used often enough now that it isn’t going to automatically conjure up images of the play.

For a feminine name, just look at names that are historically female. Girl names don’t become unisex, only boy names do.

Eleanor
Clarissa
Thalia
Sylvia
Gloria
Genevieve
Daphne
Augusta
Cassandra
Athena
Tabitha
Beatrice

I love Julianne and Juliette, but do you guys happen to like Julietta? I think it’s a very gorgeous name, and Etta is a super sweet nickname, if you would like to use one! Best of luck!

Susanna is my daughter’s name. Julianna was another we had on our list. Juliet will always make me think of Romeo, but seeing how it’s a somewhat popular name now (moreso than Susanna), I think you have a shot at people thinking of it as a modern name not attached to Shakespeare.

Susanna is very feminine. My husband prefers this one though I like them all.
