I think Patience is pretty. There are tons of names that are also just words. Such as Crystal and Pearl, haha. Pearl would be my second choice.

Lauren, Crystal and Pearl are names of gems. Patience means to have the ability to wait on something/someone etc. So to me Patience is an adjective and doesn’t sound like a child’s name. JMHO! :) Pearl gmv.

Patience has a very long tradition as a virtue-name. It is one of the few of those I really like, as it is so pretty-sounding to me. About 1/3 of the Pats and Pattys I have known have been named Patience, but then I’ve lived in places with a lot of Mennonites and Amish folks, and people whose families used to be. Anyway, I love the name, and Pearl next best.
