Tiana vs. Wdyt?
We really like Tiana for our daughter’s name, but we wanted to know what others think. Do you immediately think of the princess? I’m also curious as to what the meaning of Tiana is, one site said it means fairy queen and other said princess. I don’t know if either one of these is accurate.

I don’t have anything against the name and I’ve never seen that movie, so I wouldn’t associate it with the character. That being said, since it came out recently and it’s not a common name, I wouldn’t use it, at least not in the next 10 years. If it were Anna then I don’t think anyone would immediately say Frozen, but less common names for sure would be associated with well know movies/books.

Pretty! It did not make me think of the princess.
I didn’t think of her immediately but would it truly matter if someone did? If you love the name then use it, dont worry about who will think of what when they hear it, aslong as you like it then you’re set.

Tiana is greek for princess and according to my baby book also a latin shortened version of Tatiana. Tatiana is Slavic for Fairy Queen. This is just going by what my book says mind you but i think you’ll find that most books/sites will say something similar
