I have 3 that live with me and 2 step children, i think if you can afford it and give them the attention and love they need that 4 is a great even number of children.

I think it totally depends on the couple. If a couple can comfortably afford 6 or 8 or 12 kids, can give all of them the love and attention they need, can provide good education for each of them, and will take responsibility for raising them, then I say go for it. Parenting is a HUGE responsibility, and it requires commitment and dedication long before the first baby is born. I think it’s wrong to have kids and then not take responsibility for raising them. Parenting is NOT about buying them everything they want, dressing them in designer clothes, bowing down to their every whim or excusing their bad behavior. Parenting is about loving them, spending time with them, teaching them, instilling character traits in them, and giving them the tools necessary to be successful and independent adults. If a couple can do those things with each of their children, then who’s to say how many is too many???

I think 2-3 children is ideal. Unless you have the TIME and resources to care for more, I wouldn’t. Big families are all well and good, but if one or both parents are hardly at home because they’re constantly working to provide for such a large family, I think the parents and the kids will suffer.

For me, 2 or 3 is plenty, 4 is a lot, and more than that is too many because I want to afford college for all of them and give them the attention they need. As long as you can afford them all (without welfare) and give them adequate attention, I think it is okay to have big families.

I think that is a personal decision, and there is no right answer for how many is "too many" children.

i agree with the previous comment. I also want to add i am a stay at home mom. I would never get anything done if i wasn’t. lol

I think the # of children any couple has is their own business. There is no right answer to this question since it is an individual and personal choice.

imo 7 children is too much. I personaly want 6 so I can’t say that, that is too much!

3 is the most I ever want to have, but I strongly disagree with abortions just because you don’t want another. :)
It does depend on the couple, and their finances too. lol. :)

personally i’d say more than about 6 would be too many for me, but if i had more by accident then i would never get an abortion, if i had all the money & time in the world, i’d adopt all the children in the world and give them everything they need but i know that’s not possible..
