We are definitely naming our son Ashton James Michael Rose. Our last name is Rose. We are giving him the name James for my dad and Michael is my husbands first name. We are thinking about hyphenating Ashton and James...Ashton-James Michael Rose. We are calling him A.J. for a nickname. What do you think of the hypenated first name?

I like the idea of Ashton-James that’s so cute and really trendy but not in a bad way! I would do it that way bc Ashton Rose sounds kinda girly...I love Ashton its just with ur last name ppl might pick but if its Ashton-James Rose then not so much....Ashton-James Michael Rose is a great name! GL

Thats kind of why we thought that it might be a good idea...I mean Rose is pretty feminine name for a man to have to live with. My husbands name is Scott so he never had a problem with people thinking he was a girl =). Thanks for your comment!

i don’t think it matters, Ashton-James Rose could easily be a girl, because Ashton and James are both unisex names, all of them are nice names and i like AJ as the nn, i love double middle names and i love the name Ashton
