I like the idea. vs. I hate the idea. vs. It’s Alright.

We are expecting our second daughter in November. On April 6th 2007, we lost our first born four-year-old daughter to cancer. Her name was Emma Grace (and called her Emma Grace). We’d like to name our baby Grace, but do you think that this would be weird if her name honors her sister? Please tell us your opinion and suggest middle names. I think it is okay to use the middle name. I wouldn’t use the first because it will seem like you are replacing her, but the middle is a good way to honor her memory.

I think its completely up to you and what you are comfortable with. If it won’t hurt you to call her Grace and hear her name every day, then go for it

I’m so sorry for the loss of your first little girl. I agree with the others, if you want to do that it is perfectly fine.
