Morrison for a Boy? vs. Any other names related to the doors for a girl?

Help! My boyfriend and i are expecting our first child, and we decided not to find out the sex! I told him he could name the baby because i though it would take some of the stress off of me during the pregnancy! I was wrong. I don’t mind the name he chose for a boy, Morrison, because he loves the doors and Jim Morrison. But i almost shuttered when i heard what he had chose for a girl! Morrisyn/Morrison! The same name! I really think that Morrison is masculine and i don’t think that adding a y will change it at all. Do you have any other names that are related to Jim Morrison/ The Doors but is suitable for a girl? Please help!! ~Lauren

I dont really like Morrison but I dont hate it. I would really rethink naming it that for a girl. There are so many pretty names out there. If you have changed your mind and would like to be part of naming the baby, tell him that and I am sure he will understand. You should have a say in it also. GL!

I just realized, that i don’t think Morissa will fly, because i suggested the name Marissa for a middle name and he HATED it, and Morrisa is very similar!

I’d go with Maggie! It’s such a great name, I love it! What do you think?

I love Maggie, but i’m afraid he’ll freak because at first glance you can’t tell it’s related. Is there any feminine versions of the other band members names? I can’t remember all of them!

Well, I didn’t make the connection when I saw Morrison! =) I think you’ll probably have to explain Morrison or Maggie!

This is a huge stretch, but Jim Morrison was called the "Electric Poet," so maybe Ella or Ellie??? Or even Paris, which is where Jim Morrison died, or is that too morbid???? I’m just going out on a limb here!!! =) I also like Maggie...What do you think??
