Kehlani vs. Leilani
Which would go better for our little girl due in September? She was conceived on the island of Kehlani, but we aren’t Hawaiian in the least way! Leilani we think is adorable, but we need help! Any middle name suggestions are welcome! (Big sisters are Olive Rae and Mia Kate)

Most kids don’t want to know the details on their conception...seriously LOL! But to answer your question, I think a lot of people outside of Hawaii will struggle to spell and pronounce those names and she’d always be spelling and correcting people. Given the choice, though, Leilani is better than the other. Maybe it could be a middle name.

It’s not weird to be conceived in Hawaii, but most children probably don’t want to think of their parents having intercourse with one another....hence them not needing the details of where, when, etc. Just my opinion (for what it’s worth).

What about Keikilani (prn. Kay-kee-lahnee)? It means "Child of Heaven."

Leilani is gorgeous and happily gmv. You don’t need to be Hawaiian to use the name. Olive, Mia and Leilani sound like a fun trio. Good luck! :0)
