Anne Marit vs. Anne Marie

We favor old fashioned names, simple and uncomplicated. Our oldest daughter’s name is Margaret Grace. My mother’s name is Marie-Anne, so we thought we could make very small changes to her name, alter the order of the hyphen. My husband is Swedish, so we got Marit from his family tree. Then there is also good old fashioned Marie, exactly like grandma.
