I have always like Brooke, however Scarlett is definitely unique. Maybe you should wait and see what she looks like.

I love the name Scarlett and Lettie or Carly would be cute nn options! I don’t like Brooke at all, it is very 80s/dated and blah to me, sorry. GL!!

Scarlett is NOT unique. It’s overused, outdated, and would be horrid for a precious little girl. Scarlet Letter ring a bell? She’d be picked on soooo bad. Aw. Wow. Don’t do that to her. Brook/e is simple and sweet. Brooklyn is alright as well.

I think Scarlett is beautiful and her peers will be mature enough by the time they read the Scarlett Letter that it wont have any influence on teasing. Scarlett is a wonderful name and I think is sounds more mature and sophisticated than Brooke, which would be nice as an adult.

To the person above...Scarlett is not overused it was ranked 219 in 2007 per the social security admin. Brooke was ranked 45. Next time you state something make sure you are making an educated statement.
And for your statement of Scarlett Letter....all it means is Red Letter.
