Anise vs. ann-IS vs. uh-neece

How would your pronounce Anise? My husband and I recently found the name and really like it but we have found that a lot of people seem to pronounce it different ways and want to know which is more common and if there will be trouble for our little girl having to always give the pronouciation of her name. I would always say it Uh-neese. Like how Elise is Uh-leese.

I’ve always heard ANN-iss. But be careful with this one; there’s a pretty easy way to make a schoolyard insult.
