Baby Name Poll Results

I really hate to be rude, but most of these sound lilke stripper names to me. I like Avery. Second would be Cara but not with that spelling, so Avery is my choice.

Avery is my favorite also by far (for similar reasoning).

I like Cara(h) best.

It is rude to say someone name choices sound like stripper names! Avery is a very cute name, as well as Carah. I don’t care for Jaylen or Jayla because variations of these names have become very popular. Ashtyn is okay, and I don’t really like Destiny, it just wouldn’t carry over to adulthood very well.

I don’t think any of them sound like stripper names at all. And that WAS rude. Anyway, I like Jayla and Carah, and the H on the end is cute.

I like all of them except Destiny. I am curious, what are the middle names you’ve picked? It would be easier to distinguish my favorite if I knew the middle names.

Well, the middle name will either be Leigh, Dawn, Deanne, or Elizabeth, and we have them placed with the fns they sound best with to us, but from what I can gather from the rudeness so far, I’d rather not get my feelings hurt.

Ok, I guess I was the only rude one. I help people a lot on this site. I am expecting as well and really want to help. I guess it depends on where you live, but I just did not like the "style" of the names. People have said horrible things about some of my names, but as long as they are honest and make suggestions to help,that is what this site is for. I didn’t mean to hurt your feelings if you really like these names. Of course you can use what you want it is your child, I was only giving my honest opinion and my impressions. I was not trying to be rude, but I don’t know why people come here if they don’t want to hear what others think.

Don’t let the rude comments discourage you. Some people just have very strong opinions. You may encounter some comments regardless of what you name your little girl. For example, we picked Charis b/c it means grace and so our neighbor said to me "Well, you should have just named her Grace then".

Anyway Carah Deanne would be gorgeous.

BTW I don’t think March’s original comment was really rude. It may have been a little hard to take b/c you love these names. She was just being honest about the impression they give her.

I can’t help but be a little sensitive, this day has not gone well so far. :-) Anyway, I think it does depend on where you live, because the names we’ve picked are really quite popular here.

March’s comment wasn’t as bad as some of the awful things people have said to me about my choices.I’m just tired of the hatefulness and maybe a little snappy.

From what I’ve seen, more folks are trying to be helpful and supportive. I hope you can feel that support and that your day gets better.

I’ve had other polls filled with horrible people’s comments. I guess that’s what I was expecting today.

To the Poll Creator, I understand your feelings on how people can be rude on here, dont feel bad. I did a poll about an hour or so ago, 34 comments but half, if not most were rude and not productive because they were responding to someonelses baby name list. Of your names, I like all of them but two. My favorites are Jayla, Jaylen, Carah, and Keri. Least favorites are Avery, Destiny, and Ashtyn. GL!

When it comes to naming your child.. it can be very frustrating when you have your mind set on the names that you love but then someone comes along & says that they sound like stripper names.. when in actuality ANY NAME can be a stripper name. DESTINY is a beautiful name with a beautiful meaning but people have trashed it. JADE, TRINITY & JEWEL etc... have the same reputation

Keri and Carah, although these spellings are unique, the names are common.

Dont like the name Destiny..

Jayla is nice but i prefer jaylin. GL!
