Fabulous list -- not a klunker in the bunch. Frederick and Theodore / Theodora just seem to belong together as siblings. And Theodora has so many cute nicknames possibilities: Thea, Theda, Dora, Dory, Dot / Dottie, Dodie. Variant Dorothea works well too.

As for the second name, I looked for something grand and strong enough to stand next to Theodora without being elbowed. Catherine (or Katharine) fit the bill best, but Amelia was a strong contender. Cat / Kate, Kate, Kay, Cathy / Kathy, Kitty, Trina? Good luck!

FredaCat - thank you so much for your nickname suggestions! As much as we like the short names too, we feel that the twins would be better off having longer names with nicknames like Freddie does. We love the nicknames Thea, Dottie, Cat, Kate and Kitty. Theodosia is lovely too but we’re not so sure on Bernadette (though we like Bee).

Emily and Sarah-so sweet and timeless.
I also love Emily and Eliza as a set if you don’t mind the same initial.
Amelia and Sophia-so pretty and they go together so well.
Emma and Lucy-so cute and spunky.
But if I had to pick just one I think I’d go with Katherine and Alexandra.They’re gorgeous classics.They have lots of great nickname options and I love how along with Frederick all the children would have 9 letter names.
