Leo Christopher vs. vs.

I like this name for my little boy bit I’m worried how Leo stands for an older person not just a baby/child. Does it age well? The other option is Christopher Leo but think Leo is more current as a first name?

My dad’s name is Leo. It works great for an older guy.

I’ve known plenty of older men named Leo. It’s actually part of the trend of old person names that are coming back on babies. So it works well on adults and older adults.

I think Leo is fine by itself but you could always put Leon or Leonardo on the birth certificate so he has options when he get’s older. Christopher is a timeless classic and is also perfectly fine as a first name.

Leo is definitely an old man name that has come back into style.

Leo hoovered around the #50 mark from 1888 until 1927. It got up to #38 in 1903. Then it declined gradually and left the top 100 in 1938. It continued to decline until the mid 1990’s. Then it rose again an re-entered the top 100 in 2014. It’s now at #91 and rising.

Leo is one of those names that’s great for all ages. It’s as awesome on a baby as an older person.
