Melanie all the way!! It is such a beautiful name, has the option of a spunky and strong nn, Mel, and is not over used with this generation. :-)

Kaia is lovely! I typically see it spelled "Kaya" so I think your spelling is more unique as well!

Melanie feels dated perhaps because I know two Melanies.One who was born in the 70s.The other in the 80s so to me it feels like it belongs to one of those two decades.
Grace is lovely but there was just something about Kaia that really jumped out at me.I feel like the repeated Ks in Kaia Beckett really make it pop!
Kaia is very pretty.Plus I don’t personally know a Kaia so that makes it feel more special too.

I have always loved Melanie. It seems sweet, simple, girly, and cherished.
I also like Kaia. It seems fresh and spunky, but I don’t know if it’s trendy or a new classic. I do prefer Maya/Maia as being a little softer-sounding.
Grace has a lovely meaning but I don’t really like the Gr sound (Gretchen, Greta, Margaret, etc).
