Muriel Catherine & Desmond Greer vs. Lara Miriam & Willis Arthur vs. Freda Marian & Thomas Peter

We have been trying for awhile and finally have twins to name. These will undoubtedly be our only children so we want to get the names to feel perfect to us. We love all the names, so please no unkind comments if they’re not your cup of tea . We just want advice on which combinations sound best together, and with our surname. Many thanks! PS We are open to suggestions for re-arranging the combinations if you think you have a better way.

Muriel and Desmond get my vote - but I also love Freda and Thomas a lot. Not loving Lara and Willis quite as much.

I love Freda Marian! Miriam is also gorgeous. Desmond and Thomas are nice, but I LOVE your middle names for boys! Any chance you’d be open to switching Arthur or Peter to the first name slot?

How do you pronounce Muriel? I had a neighbor growing up who pronounced it MYUR-ee-el, but behindthename.com gives several pronunciations. MYUR-ee-el sounds harsh to me, but I like the other pronunciations. Either way, I think it and Freda are much more interesting than bland Lara. As for the boys, I like all but Willis. Whenever I hear it, I think in my head "Whatchu talkin’ bout, Willis?"

We are pronouncing Muriel closer to Mur- ee-EL.
