Luna With a middle vs. First Luna vs. Not luna
So we have a dilemma, we both really like Luna for our baby name but one of her cousins is called Leona (10) so are Luna and Leona too close for cousins? Please let us know if you think Luna is ok in the middle spot, first name or not at all, Thanks

I think it’s fine in either spot. They are two completely different names. Sometimes it is almost impossible to avoid similar sounding names within extended families, especially larger ones.

Thank you so much, I think the big age gap helps too, they won’t be 2 little girls the same age with similar names! I’m really relieved, although I love Luna so much I probably would use it no matter what the votes say

Definitely not to close. They are cousins so in my opinion even if they had the same name its ok.

I voted Luna with a middle, but I really think you should use it as the middle name, if Leona is a close cousin.

I say if you like it then that’s what you call her regardless of anyone else, it would be totally unfair to not call your daughter your favourite name based on what someone else called their baby. I also share a love for the name Luna x
