Cassie-Mae vs. Andi-Mae

Our little girl turned 1 yesterday. And with her starting to get into stuff and some trouble now that she is mobile(still crawling but almost walking!) calling by her full name, Cassandra Mae, is getting kinda troublesome for us. I stumble over it a lot for some reason. So we want to give her a nickname. But we can’t decide between Cassie-Mae and Andi-Mae, both fit her nicely. Her big brother is named Briceson Lee, he doesn’t have a nickname right now, and her big sister is named Violet Sophia.

Cassie Mae makes the most sense, but even Cassie would work too.

Cassie-Mae is cute! I agree with pp suggestion to just do Cassie. Are you wanting nicknames for the others too? Brice would be a good one for Briceson, and maybe Vi or Vivi for Violet :)

I like the less traditional Andi-Mae. It’s funny how you end up calling some kids by fn+mn and others just fn.

We just like Cassie-Mae and Andi-Mae better than just Cassie or Andi. Also, we don’t always call Cassandra by her full name, only when she is getting into trouble, we do the same with Briceson and Violet, their names just aren’t as long and they are older so we don’t want to give them nicknames unless they want them, which they don’t right now. The idea of doing a shorter version of Cassandra plus her middle name Mae was given to is by Briceson, and Violet liked it too, so we think it’s cute that they kinda gave her her nickname. So please keep it between Cassie-Mae and Andi-Mae. -pollposter
