Melina would be another option that is less common than Melanie (though I love Melanie).

Melisande is gorgeous!!

You might also like the name Melesina, like the Irish writer/poet Melesina Trench. It’s another form of Millicent, like Melisande is the French form of Millicent.

Or the name Melusine! That’s my personal favorite. It comes from European folklore. Melusine was a water spirit/mermaid, much like Lorelei from Germanic folklore.
