D Name vs. Different Letter Name

My name is Bridget and my fiancés name is Cole! We are expecting a baby, due in October, and we have already started looking for names. Cole had an idea that he suggested to me. What if the baby's name started with D because ours start with B and C? He thinks it would be cute but I'm worried others will think it's tacky. He says he got the idea because he and his siblings almost had an ABC theme with their names but their parents ended up not actually doing it. Do you think it would be tacky to have our names B and C and the baby's name start with D?

Not tacky at all, I don't think it's very noticeable.

I don't think it would be tacky at all. A lot of people do themes and same letter themes, etc. I actually think it's fun and pretty cool! I would just make sure you find a D name that you love. I'd also consider E names and F names if you had more kids and wanted to keep the theme going. Or you could always stick with a D theme for all of your kids.

Here are some I like...

I also love Donatello for a boy! There are so many more, I forgot to mention Daphne as well. These are just the ones I like that come to mind.

Oh and love Drew for a girl! Like it for a boy as well. And Drusilla. K shutting up now. Lots of great D names out there.

I don't think you should let it guide your name choice. If you happen to find a name that starts with D, fine, if you like a name better that starts with something else go with that.
