I have thought that about Avelina but not about Evelina.

Ok, wow... first, to answer your question, Evelina is stunningly beautiful. Evelina Jane is absolutely stunning and so incredibly gorgeous. Evelina Rose sounds like a bit much and doesn't have as elegant of a flow. But I find your statement really offensive. An "ugly" pig? The species of pig you're referring to are absolutely BEAUTIFUL animals and they are INCREDIBLY intelligent and loving and love their babies just like me or you. They think, feel, etc. just like me or you. If you can't see the beauty in these angels then that's on you, but maybe make such comments about these innocent animals a little more respectful. I realize this might sound crazy to some but I'm tired of tip toeing around the subject of speciesism. What if someone referred to a race of humans as ugly or certain human babies ugly? That would be horrible and wrong and for good reason. It is no different here.

LOVE Evelina. I haven't heard of this pig but I googled it. Are you kidding me?! They are so graceful and beautiful and their babies a friggin' adorable! Cuter than human babies lol. How could anyone call them ugly? My heart is melting looking at google images right now–cute overload! I am in love!!!!

I love both Avelina and Evelina, beautiful names. I have never made that connection but I agree that they're beautiful animals and while I don't feel there is a connection to the names, I would only look at it as a positive thing if they were connected.

I love the name Giselle and my friend says it reminds her of gazelle which I don't personally agree but gazelles are also beautiful animals and I see that as a positive attribute if anything.

I had never heard of Javelina pigs until today... So I don't think it'll be an issue at all!

Never heard of the little piggies but I gouged them too and they are beauties! Wouldn't call them ugly in a million years! Oh and G, haha I know! their babies are soooo cute! XD

Evelina is absolutely beautiful! Evelina Jane is one of the most beautiful f/m names I've ever seen or heard. No idea how Rose is beating it out. Rose is such a generic mn and I am personally sick of it.

Evelina is a absolutely beautiful name. We have a stuffed javelin in our basement. I would never associate the name with it.

Thank you everyone for your comments. I asked because of the reaction I received from family in Arizona tying this name option to Javelinas in a very unfavorable way and it made me second guess having it in the top 3 name options. I wanted to see how many others thought something similar. I personally don't connect the 2, but people can be mean and I wanted to see how much I would be setting her up for that. Thanks again.
