Our vs. Baby vs. Girl

We are wanting a religious name for our daughter who is due on December 6th. We have 1 son, Psalm, 4. The names we like so far are Prayer, Praise, Devotion and Holy. Any other ideas would be appreciated. Many Thanks.

Out of your choises i would pick Praise, but i’m personally not a fan of any of those names. I would definitely go with a book of the Bible: Ruth, Ester, Ezra. Some other names are Faith, Grace, Joy, and Hope. My favs are:
Ester Faith
Ruth Grace
Ezra Praise

I agree with above posters -- just go with a Bible name, you don’t have to be so literal.

Holly is a good idea -- she’ll be born near Christmas, and Holly is a popular winter decoration.

Seriously, with names like Psalm and Holy and Devotion, you’re practically BEGGING your kids to grow up rebels. I can see Prayer with multiple nose rings and a leather jacket.

Prayer is sort of cute, but a little over the top. I met a girl the other day named Blessing, but that follows the same lines. What about Sela? It’s a term used in Psalms, and that would be a cute brother sister connection.

What bout Pascha? As in the paschal lamb? This may just be a lutheran thing... I know a little one with pascha as her middle name. With your options, I definitely prefer Praise. I think Holy is a little much.
