nn for vs. Elliot

I need a nn for Elliot , my family is really big on giving all the childern nn’s , I’m naming my son Elliot and I haven’t told them yet because I am scared that he’ll end up with an awful nn if i don’t find one for him first. thanks for any suggestions

I guess you could use Eli or Leo (Lio). I purposely looked for a nickname-proof name for my child so as to avoid this. A nickname also doesn’t have to be related to his name.

I know how you feel. My husbands name is Brent and his gpa nn’d him Butch so that’s what everyone calls him and he introduces himself with that name. I hate it, but o-well! His dad keeps telling me that his grandson will be called Cash! OMG!!!

Anyways, I really like ELI a lot!
