If you dont like it tell him if he wants to name an innocent little girl that he needs to give birth to her him self. She is your baby too and you need to love the name.

What would happen if your child is one of those girls who are shy, easily offended, and likes to cry when she is offended? This name screams for attention and teasing, and your child would hate her name. It isn’t fair for her! If you don’t like this thought, you should tell him that name is an absolute NO and he’ll have to understand. I can’t think of any nn’s that could help, sorry. Berry is a variant of Barry and I think more girly. The spelling Baraka is an Arabic name meaning Blessing.

the name just isn’t nice...it has nothing to do with her being rejected because of her parents political views (that’s just stupid...) but it just sounds made up which it is

You are the one giving birth, so you really need to love that name. Plus, your daughter will be so mad at you once she’s old enough to get the teasing from classmates.

I don’t get how your husband has the last say after you’ve carried this baby for 9 months, gone through pregnancy symptoms, felt all the movement and not to mention will be the one whose body will be spread (or cut) from here to Timbuctu to bring this life into the world. Even Obama didn’t name his own kids after him!
