Maya(my-a) Gabrielle vs. Mea Ann vs. Alexa Grace/Noelle

So I found out after choosing Maya as our daughters name that a friend of the family is thinking about naming her daughter Maya also. She is due first so i dunno if i should let her have it and name my daughter one of our back up names we also liked a lot or stick with it. Her and I are not close and our kids will probably never play together. I dont know what to do. So i am coming to you for help!

I say name her Amaya and call her Maya. If you were close i would say not to name her Maya or Amaya but since you are not...go for it :)

I like the suggestion of Amaya, because I absolutely love that name! It is beautiful! But if you really like Maya than go for it! You said you aren’t close, so why worry about it?!
