I love the name Anthony! it is very cute, ages well, will never be out of style and is not as common as Alexander
Alexei is also cute

Actually Alexander is ranked 20 and Anthony is ranked 10 Nationally. Anthony is more popular as a first name. Alexander is more commonly used as a middle name.

Alexander hands down. Love the nicknames Alex and Zander. The child has more choices of what he’d like to be called growing up and i think there are more Anthony’s than Alexander’s because Anthony has been popular for quite a while (especially in the 80’s) and Alexander has not been popular for that long.

Either.

Alexander is very classic, and Alex is an old standby. Plus if he turns out to be an outgoing type he can always call himself Zander...but when he gets older, Alexander is a grown-up name.

Anthony is very strong and you definitely don’t hear it as often which is always a plus. Also the nn Tony is nice.
