First Name vs. for Middle vs. Name Connemara

We really want our daughter’s middle name to be Connemara but we are having a horrible time deciding on a first name for her. We would like something not too out there, since the middle name is very unique. We don’t like unisex names or anything too popular. Thanks so much! Beth and Ricky

Is it pronounced "Koh-nem-er-a?"

Addison Connemera
Genevieve Connemera
Enola Connemera
Blaire Connemera
Brynn Connemera
Devon Connemera
Rosalie Connemera

Like any of those? I was just going by feel, I like the presentation of all of these. If you prefer some to others maybe it’ll give me a better idea of where to start forming a list?

Congrats on your baby girl.

Also, where did you find such a name? I think it’s unique and beautiful. I love names so--just curious.

So far myself I’m partial to Blaire/Blair as a first name paired with this middle name.

Do you have any preference OP?

Thanks for all the comments! I really like Violet, Claire, Blair, Rosalie, Hannah, Taryn and Faith so far.

Connemara is pronounced kahn-ah-MAHR-ah (I completely copied and pasted that from a website, so hopefully that makes more sense than whatever I would have come up with!) It’s a place in County Galway, Ireland that has a lot of signifigance to my husband and I, which is why we want to use the name in our daughter’s name. I really want to use it as a first name, but I feel it might be a little too "out there" for a first name.

Oh I posted too soon.

I also really like Iris, Lillian and Juliana (though I think I prefer Julianna or Julianne).

I like both Wren and Brynn but they don’t flow with our last name, which is Brennan.

I think it’d be really pretty as a first name as well.

Honstly with a last and middle name like the ones you have for her I’d go with something that avoids the "C" and "harsh n" sonds.

Rosalie Connemera Brennan sounds nice.

Rosalie C. Brennan

Rose Brennan

Rosie Brennan

Rosalie Brennan

Rosalie Connemera

It works.

That’s my vote.

Oh... and thanks for the explanation. I think it’s a stunning name.

I’m going to call my little girl Boleyn so I do have an appreciation for unique and meaningful names.

I like Amy, Zoe and Lucy. I think simple short names go well with the middle name.

I love Connemara marble jewlery. I agree it would be a bit too out there for a first name. Mara is a cute name too, if you just wanted to use that.
