Sakura vs. Kaede

Which Japanese girl name do you like better? Sakura is pronounced sock-ooh-ruh, and suh-kur-uh. It means ’Cherry blossom’. It symbolizes ’Female strength’. Kaede is pronounced kaw-eh-deh, and kye-ay-day. It means ’Maple leaf’, and symbolizes ’The plant of the lovers’. So which one do you like best? I think for me it’s Kaede because even though Sakura is a beautiful name as well, it’s just a little bit too overused.

Gorgeous names! I love the meanings!
I love both. Are you in the US?
If you are I would go with Kaede but spell it in a way that it’s easily pronouce.

I don’t know that Sakura is overused unless you live in Japan. Do you?
