Mia is so gorgeous! I hate Amelia but I love Mia!! Will her father be involved much in her life? If not, I would give her your last name but if her father will be playing a signigicant role in her life, I would give her her father’s last name

I think that’s totally up to you. If the Dad’s not going to be around at all if it were my daughter i wouldn’t, I would give her mine. But if Dad helps out a bit and she visits him and he’s a great person no matter what the fight or breakup was about (unless he cheated) I would consider giving her his last name. or you can give her both. Yours first then his, If they flow and sound nice together. Thats just me. If I were your daughter and my Dad wasn’t around at all I would want nothing to do with him even my last name. It’s up to you though it’s your decision.

He’s not going to be around at all and well I’m sorry to say that my daughter was not created by love because I was raped and he’s in jail now but people have told me that I should give her his name because regardless he’s still her father but Im not quite sure yet. Thank you for the advice though.

Definitely DO NOT give her his last name then. I would give her your last name because she is your daughter and you will be the one raising her. And I’m really sorry to hear about that, it must be really hard for you

Um... well go with your gut. It’s terrible that you were raped and honestly if i were raped and became pregnanet I wouldn’t give her father the benifet of the doubt. I would her my last name. I wouldn’t want my daughter to ask well I have a different last name then you and no dad. Whose my Dad and where is he why is he not in my life. Then you’d have to explain to her which you will sometime in her life but I think by giving her his last name she’ll find it out earlier than you’d like. I’d want her to be old enough and mature enough to know that my Mom loved me so much and even though I wasn’t planned I was created and she didn’t abort me like so many woman do rape or not. She’ll be so greatful and much more understanding. I’d just give her your last name:) good luck and God bless:)

Thank you Mary-kate, though it was hard for me at the beggining of the pregnancy now as the time has passed and I have began to bond with my baby girl I feel stronger and have determined to fight for my daughter and give her the life she deserves by loving her and continuing my education to get ahead just for her.
