You’ll have to find another way to spell ANALeigh since I’m sure you don’t want Anal to be in your daughter’s name. I took it off my list because of that. I didn’t like any other way of spelling it. Ahnalie, Ahnaleigh, Onalee, Aneleigh. Those are the only ones I came up with. My first daughter’s name is Avery. I REALLY like Aubrey, but can’t name my second daughter that because it is too similar.

I guess I didn’t notice the anal in it but I still really like the name. I do like the MN suggestion of Joy. What does everyone else think about the anal being in the name. Would that be a set up for teasing or would anyone even notice?

I like Aubrey or Aubree the best.. followed by Avery.. and then Analeigh. I don’t like the Anal part either, sorry!

Hmmm, I think the anal think could be a teaser. Maybe Annaleigh? Then it looks a little more like your pronouciation too.

no, poll poster, i don’t think it will be a big deal. others seem to think that it is but kids shouldn’t make fun of that and any adult who does is immature and inconsiderate. i don’t think it will be a problem because analeigh is a gorgeous name!

when I noticed, I wrote it out for people and polled them. About 70% noticed and they all said "no way!" It would be fine after she’s 20 or if she ends up being extremely attractive, but kids are mean, you don’t want to give them more ammo.

As an adult, I noticed. Obviously I wouldn’t point it out to a child, but they may figure it out (since kids can read at age 3-4 these days). I am just letting the poll poster know how my journey with this name option went.

Kids may be able to read at 3 or 4, but none of them will know what what the word anal means. It may be an issue in high school, but only if someone is reading her name. Just hearing her name, they’re not going to think of anal.
