It’s a family name, which I’ve been "pressured" into, :) which is why I’m trying to choose a very girlie middle name.

It’s her name. My family has been calling this baby Sutton since the moment we announced. It’s grown on me and now I can’t imagine calling her anything else.

yes, i guess you could say my family named her, but I get to choose her middle name.

Please do NOT be pressured into naming your daughter such a horrible name! If anything, use it as the middle name! It’s YOUR child, and you should not be pressured into naming her anything....but Sutton?! YIKES! The poor girl. Aside from the fact that it’s extremely masculine, it’s just awful. It is so awkward to say. It sounds so ugly...and it reminds me of a ghetto girl saying "something"...You know what I mean? Like "Oh no she di’int! Yous betta say suttin!"

Don’t listen to all these other posts. It’s not their baby! If you want to name her Sutton then that is your choice not theirs. My favorite name that you picked is Sutton Amelia. Good Luck!

There’s an actress on Broadway who’s name is Sutton Foster. She won a Tony and she’s amazing. She’s playing Fiona in Shrek now. I loved the name Sutton since I saw her in Thoroughly Modern Millie. I think its a great name. I’m sorry people are bashing the name you picked out when all you wanted was a middle name. Good luck with baby Sutton.

Pressured was in quotes. As in not serious. It’s my grandmother’s name and great-grandmother’s name and I love the name Sutton. It just wasn’t my first choice at first. So Sutton, (Sunny as I call her) is her name. So thanks Jane and Madeleine and Mjay for being helpful and those that voted.
