Kiersten Elizabeth vs. Deirdre Ellen
I am expecting twin daughters in April. From the time I found out that I was pregnant, I knew that I wanted to name my daughter Kiersten but I haven’t really found a name that clicked for her sister-until yesterday. I saw Deirdre on another poll and felt it was perfect. The only drawback is that one has a Scandinavian origin and the other is Irish. Does that really matter in this day & age? Do these names go well together? I need some outside opinions. Thanks for your time-Kate

I really love Kiersten and Elizabeth but I personaly hate both Deirdre and Ellen. If you love them though don’t listen to what I or anyone else thinks of them. The origin doesn’t matter to me. I never look at where names come from. Hope this helps. GL!!!

I disagree with a previous post that you would need to change the spelling. Diedre spelling is most commonly pronounced Deer druh. I think they’re lovely names. They go very well together. GL

Thank you Poster #4 and #5. I thought Deirdre was beautiful and went well with Kiersten. I looked up the pronunciation to make sure that I was saying it right. But I do want honest opinions. Kate

Have you thought about Kirsten or Kristen? I think Kristen and Deidra would be cute twin names. I don’t like the Keer/Deer thing.

I think both names (and spellings) are lovely and go well together. I don’t think that origin of name matters.

I think Kiersten will be constantly spelling her name, although I do like it. I might use Kirsten.
I’m not the biggest fan of Dierdre, but it’s a nice name and I think they go well together.

Great combo. Matchy but not too matchy! They’re both very pretty. GL!
