Dimitri Elliott vs. yes vs. or no

Hi! my husband and I are expecting our first child, a boy, in a few months. We both LOVE the name Dimitri, but we’re Canadian not Greek and some people say this might be an issue... what do you guys think? can we still use it? thanks, Vanessa

Dmitri is nice. So what if you’re Canadian and not Greek. That doesn’t matter. You can name your child whatever you want to.

I would prefer Elliot Demetri....but Demetri Elliot is nice too.
