I don’t like Teddy for a girl. I don’t think anyone would shorten it to Dora. People tend to call your child what you call them. I think they’d be more likely to call her Thea.

Teddy is a horrible nickname! Please don’t do that! Why not Teodora (or Tiadora)? People can call her Tia.

It sounds like Theodore. And Teddy is an atrocious nickname to inflict upon a little girl. Stick with a T name if you want, but go with Tess or Theresa or Tatiana...anything but Theodora.
