Honestly, "Old high society," could be anything-depending on the era.

Names like Brittany were once given only to the children of the elite.
Names like Thelma were once considered trendy...

When I hear the phrase I think of names like
Daisy
Mamie
Adelaide
Georgina
Colette
Scarlett
Victoria
Marcella

If you could be a little more specific as to your tastes, it would probably help.
