Now, i’m not pregnant, but i just wanted to know what everyone thought. My neighbor just had a baby a couple of months ago and named her Candida, i thought, ’hey, that’s kind of cute’ but as I was sitting in health class the other day we learned about an STD called Candida. what do you guys think?

I have a friend named Candida it’s a pretty name, and she is from a island near Portugal. I’m pretty shure she is not aware the her name is associated with an STD. I would not use this name in an American Culture.

Whoa, not a good thing! I’ve never heard of it. But, maybe she heard it somewhere, but didn’t realize it was an STD. I’m so sorry.

I thought it was a nice name until you mentioned the STD. I agree with a previous post, I wouldn’t use it in American Culture.

Even before I knew about the STD I thought it was weird. It reminds me of the country Canada. Def. not a fan of the name.
