Rowan Jude vs. Rory Jude vs. suggestion

We have a 7 year old Summer and a 19 month old boy River and I’m due in 3 months. If it’s a boy we want to get away from the nature thing as it was not intentional and we’ve gotten a few looks. So we like Rowan and think it would be cool to have 2 little boys with the same letter. The problem is since we really don’t want the kids teased, is Rowan a bad idea as then the kids names backwards could form a stupid sentence namely: Rowan down the River in th Summer. Please help as we really want this name but don’t want to regret it later. The similar name Roman cannot be used for certain reasons that would take too long to explain. Thanks for helping.

I like them both, but my favorite is defnitely Rowan Jude! Rowan is a great name and I don’t think he’ll get teased. What about Rogan? Or Reese/Rhys/Riordan/Roland/Ryan/Reid? Good luck!

I love River on a boy and Summer is very sweet also. Rowan Jude is very handsome- I adore it. If I have a son I will name him Rowan. Rory Jude is also nice, however.

I hate Rowan for a girl :it’s like naming a girl Ethan! It doesn’t sound right. Just like Logan or Jordan for a girl don’t sound right! AND YOU THINK JUDE IS GIRLY? IT"S THE MOST MASCULINE NAME OUT THERE ALMOST.

Bruce and Butch are probably the top masculine names. =D

Rowan means Rowan Tree...so I don’t know if you want to follow along with the theme of ’Tree’ but I searched these tree-inspired names:

Ash Jude
Ashton Jude
Ashley Jude (not my favorite for a boy)
Aspen Jude
Elan Jude
Frayne Jude
Kiefer Jude
Nash Jude
Oakley Jude
Park Jude
Perry Jude
Vernon Jude

You’ve clearly thought this out- bravo! However, I think you may have over-thought the issue. I’m fairly name sensitive and didn’t immediate see the whole "Rowan down the River in Summer" thing until you pointed it out. I think that’s a real stretch that you won’t have to worry about most people making.
Rowan is a wonderful name for a boy, or even a girl. It evokes a sense of strength that would work for either sex. Plus its fairly uncommon, but completely pronounce-able. A big plus! Best wishes and good luck!
