Jack Pierce vs. Jackson Pierce

Ok we have decided on a middle name and we know we like the name Jack, but I was thinking Jackson sounded formal and nice but he would be called Jack. What do ya’ll think? Also we have a two year old named Trenton James so it would have to flow with big brothers name. Opinions? Thoughts?

Jackson sounds best with Pierce and you could definately call him Jack :)

Well, the traditional name for Jack is actually John.
I won’t be critical, though, since my older son is a "just Jack."
In your case, I surprised myself and voted for Jackson.
I think it fits nicely with Trenton, and it flows better with your mn.
I’ll warn you Jack has gotten super popular, so be prepared for your little guy to have to use his last initial-no big deal but thought I’d warn you in case you didn’t know.
The stats. are kind of misleading because there are Johns called Jack, just Jacks, Jacksons called Jack, and even some Jax (ugh)!

Obviously I still think it’s a great name, though!

I agree with Jack and Henry’s mom. Jack is super popular. If you name him Jackson he will be called Jack though no matter what I’m sure. Kids always shorten names.
