What do you vs. think?

I am pregant with my first child (a girl!). I really didn’t have any names that I liked. A month ago, my BEST friend died in a car accident. It was the most devestating time of my life, Her name was Miranda. I thought about it and relized I really like that name! do you think it would be ok for me to honor her by naming my daughter after her? I just want to make sure other people like that name. Do you? She was my BEST friend!. Thank you so much!

I like Miranda. It ages well and the nick names Mandi, Randi, Mira and Andy are adorable.
Plus, it means "She who must be admired." So it’s perfect for the honoring of your friend. Sorry for your loss, but good luck with your princess.

I LOVE the name Miranda and I think that honoring your friend is a great thing to do. I think the name also has a lot of nn possibilities, like mira, mandi, andi, randi. I was actually considering the name for my daughter.

well the name isnt my favorite but i do think it would have meaning to it an that i like you could also use it as a middle name so you dont have to say it that often if it brings up feelings like
Abigayle Miranda.....
