No..both are not uncommon names, especially Ella, so kids will have heard the names before and think nothing of it. I teach in an elementary school and I’ve noticed that it’s only the very bizarre and out there names that kids choose to make nicknames of. Both are beautiful! GL!

I wouldn’t worry about either of those. Scarlett and Ella are both well known names and well accepted names. Both are beautiful, my favorite is Scarlett.

It’s not so much the name that dictates whether or not kids will make a nn out a kids name, it depends more on if the kid is liked by the students. The trouble makers or disliked children are the ones who typically get the bad nicknames. Doesn’t matter the name, kids find a way to turn it into something unflattering. Both names are really pretty and I’ve never heard of a girl with either being called Elephant or Scar Face. I think your in the clear on this one.

Kids can be so mean and it really doesn’t matter what name you choose she may still be teased!
So don’t stress over it to much!
However I like both of those names! My friend named her baby Eliana (pron. Ellie ana.) and they call her Ellie.

yea, I really wouldn’t worry, it’s usually only the names with bad words that kids like to turn into nicknames..try growing up with the last name Buttco....I doubt you’ll have any problems with either name. Good luck!

Use Ella. And dont woory about the teasing that can go with the name as most of the time it does not happen.
